The Awards are a celebration of equality and creating opportunity for platforms to recognize the queer community and Kulture in Namibia. Being queer in the Namibian republic has proved difficult for many individuals and with little representation and support many end up feeling lonely or on occasions suicidal. The awards ceremony aims at creating visibility of the community, whilst creating opportunities and to motivate the community to work hard to be recognized through the various platforms available in their respective fields.  "Our aim is to award every personality advocating for human rights and changing our society's culture whether or not they are LGBT+".  The  first edition of the spectrum awards has well over 20 categories and they plan to increase the number of categories as the awards gro...

The short documentary which featured local influencer/comedian Cassie Jessica was an enticing and intuitive discussion and which most of the participants stressed the need for there to be a SkatePark build that is readily available to the general public.  "I feel that a Big SkatePark would bring poeple together, and allow for you to meet new people" stressed Cassie Jessica.  A intermediate skater Known as Micheal emphasized on how "Skating should be recognised locally as a sport as it is internationally" and that "this would also serve as a tourist attraction ".  INTERVIEW LINK  https://youtu.be/N97SWNoCqgg
